WORLD HEALTH SUMMIT REGIONAL MEETING 2019 - Iran, Kish Island
The World Health Summit Regional Meeting 2019 brought global health experts from all over the world to Kish Island, Iran. Over 700 participants from 47 countries took part.
Held under the motto “united together for global health,” the meeting was organized according to principles of partnership, bringing actors across sectors and around the world together in pursuit of a common, improved global health agenda.

The World Health Summit Regional Meeting 2019 - Kish Island was hosted by the Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS). The university is Iran’s top-ranked research university and is a national center of excellence for medical care. In 2018, TUMS had over 13,000 students (55% of whom are women) in various disciplines. TUMS has 11 schools, operates 16 teaching hospitals with over 4,000 beds, has 105 research centers and 44 libraries, and publishes 58 journals.
