SDGs and Health: A Vision For Public Policy Panel Discussion May 08, 2017, 8:45 AM - 10:15 AM Room 3
In 2015, 194 countries signed on to the universal and transformational Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The multi-sectoral, inter-disciplinary SDGs validate a comprehensive approach to health and its social determinants. For stakeholders in global health, the “first 1000 days” of SDG implementation present an opportunity to capitalize on the momentum and demonstrate that health is central to achieving Agenda 2030.
This session presents informed and current perspectives on the impact of SDG roll-out on national and international health governance.
