Recent Event: The AIDS Pandemic - Searching for a Global Response

The newly published book "The AIDS Pandemic - Searching for a Global Response" by Michael H. Merson and Stephen Inrig recounts the global response to the AIDS pandemic from its inception to today.

On March 14, the panel discussed with the authors in how far the AIDS pandemic triggered the formation of Global Health as its own discipline and the closing of ranks between scientists, politicians, and the entire population in order to fight the spread of the HI virus.

Recent Event: Global Perspectives Salon

The Global Perspectives Initiative > supports the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, which aim to make the world a fairer and safer place by 2030.

As part of these efforts, it hosted a special Global Perspectives Salon in Berlin, Germany, addressing the question of how academia, politics, the private sector, and civil society can improve Global Health.
