Newsletter 03/2023: WHS Regional Meeting 2023, Washington DC
|
Dear friends,
We are really excited about the upcoming World Health Summit Regional Meeting in Washington DC. “Bridging the Science to Policy Gap for Global Health” is the theme for the event on April 13, which will highlight the essential role of evidence-based science for the development of global health policies. Many high-level speakers from around the world across disciplines will discuss pressing issues in global health in this framework. I particularly look forward to topics such as "Confronting the Burden of NCDs: A Universal Health Coverage Challenge" and "Sustainable Giving for Global Health: Strategic Pathways".
All the credit goes to World Health Summit International President 2023 Adnan Hyder from the George Washington University Milken Institute of Public Health and his team for making this event possible. Thanks also go to the M8 Alliance members, the Consortium of Universities for Global Health (CUGH) and the Association of Academic Health Centers International (AAHCI), for hosting this first Regional Meeting in the United States.
I invite you all to join the discussions – either in person in Washington DC or online. Digital participation is free but don't forget to register! Find all information on how to participate below.
Stay safe and healthy!
