World Health Summit

Newsletter February 2020

Dear friends,

Makerere University is extremely delighted to be hosting the World Health Summit Regional Meeting 2020, the first in Africa.

At World Health Summit Regional Meetings, both the challenges we have in common and topics of regional focus come to the forefront.

No nation can make steady economic progress when its people are battling poor health. This is part of what makes gatherings like the 2020 Regional Meeting so crucial, with health professionals and other stakeholders in government and the private sector coming together to exchange knowledge and ideas on how to invest better in health.

We hope you will join in Kampala as we tackle the health challenges we all face, together with our M8 Alliance friends and other experts from around the world.

All the best,

Detlev Ganten
Founding President
