To support the recognition of emerging young medical science journalists and their contribution towards public understanding of science, we present the “Next Generation of Science Journalists” Award.

Science journalists who have recently begun their careers may apply until July 14, 2016.

New Voices in Global Health

The New Voices in Global Health initiative promotes the active participation of young scientists in the World Health Summit. Selected candidates will present their work in a special poster exhibition during the conference and profit from its strong international network.

In the IAP for Health program Young Physician Leaders (YPL), top young professionals are being trained at the European School of Management and Technology (ESMT) in special leadership programs will attend the World Health Summit.

Startup Track Winner 2015: $5 Million Raised from Investors

For the 10 finalists of the WHS Startup Track, pitching in front of the WHS jury and audience creates a lot additional visibility and traction. 2015 winner mPharma made excellent use of the opportunity, as CEO Gregory Rockson reports:

"Things have been going great for mPharma since the World Health Summit 2015: We raised about five million dollars from investors after having met the central contacts at the WHS."

"Health in the Digital Era" was the focus of re:publica's 2016 re:health track, jointly organized with the World Health Summit. re:publica is one of the world's leading conferences on digital culture and offers insights and discourses on health in the digital era. This year's topics ranged from the use and rights of health care data, to digital menstrual cycle trackers and online therapy.

Global Health Mentorship Program

Set up by the Global Health Next Generation Network (GHNGN) and the Swedish Network for International Health (SNIH), this program connects young professionals and experienced professionals from different fields into a Global Health network.
